MATTHEW NIELSEN

Matthew Nielsen (also known as Nuclear Jackal) is a comic artist
and writer. He has worked on comics published in
Issues 22, 31, & 32 of Pulp Literature Magazine and
Cloudscape Comics' Life Finds a Way
anthology, as well as their Welcome to Mina's
anthology.
As a freelancer he illustrated the 8
Year Anniversary comic for Monstercat and
The Cold and Actual Sky for Imperiad
Entertainment. He's also illustrated merchandise for the YouTube
Channels MIlitary History Visualised and Military Aviation
History.
Currently he's working on Toni &
Aberdeen, a graphic novel project about two time
travellers that, when not visiting alternate realities, live in a
deserted 2003 Vancouver stuck in a stasis.

MINNA HAKKOLA

Minna is a Finnish artist who enjoys working with a
variety of different mediums and styles. She writes and draws
slice-of-life comic strips based on her own experiences, and she’s
also currently working on illustrations, crochet dolls, miniature
dioramas and jewelry. She’s always looking for new arty and crafty
things to try out.
Minna prefers working with traditional
mediums when it comes to her illustrations and comics, mostly
watercolors, markers, or India ink and an old fashioned dip-pen.
She studied art in Finland and graduated with a BA in Fine Art
from Novia University of Applied Sciences, and recently moved to
BC to live with her comic artist fiancé.

ROBIN THOMPSON

Robin Thompson (aka Fun Men Press) is an independent comic book
illustrator (Zombie Jesus),
and art instructor at Emily Carr University.
His freelancing illustration experience includes storyboarding
for film and television, graphic design, and interior mural work
for seasonal attractions (Potter's
House of Horrors).
Lending his extensive
knowledge of the comic book medium, Robin has been a guest speaker
for the Vancouver Art Gallery's renowned
"Krazy!" and "COMIX: A
Retrospective of Comic Art" exhibits.
Attending artistic exhibitions across the mainland annually, Robin
brings his unique brand exclusively to each event with original
"pocket art", art prints, and comic book sketch covers.

JOHN WARD

John is a Vancouver-based writer, filmmaker, and
podcaster. His recent comic book credits include Scratcher,
Acausal, Dark Fragments, and Offbeats, and he has
stories published in several anthologies. He’s a contributing
writer for the indie comics publication Sequential Magazine, and
also the creator of the 49 Degrees North Writers Podcast.
Previously he was a theoretical physicist and was once almost run
over by Stephen Hawking.



RYAN HESHKA

Ryan Heshka was born in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, and
grew up in Winnipeg. To pass the long prairie winters, his
childhood was spent drawing, building cardboard cities and making
super 8mm films. Early influences that persist to this day include
antiquated comics and pulp magazines, nature, graphic design,
music, movies and animation. Formally trained in interior design,
he is self-taught as an artist. Heshka's personal artwork has
graced the cover and interiors of BLAB! magazine and numerous art
publications around the globe. His paintings have been exhibited
in galleries across North America and Europe, and many pieces
reside in prominent international private collections. Recent
published comics include "Frog Wife", the "Mean Girls Club" comic
book and graphic novel (Nobrow, UK) and the BRAND NEW "Pleasure
Planet". His illustration work has appeared in Vanity Fair,
Playboy, Esquire, the New York Times and the New Yorker. He lives
in Vancouver, B.C., Canada with his wife Marinda and their
daughter Roxy.









RANDY STONE

Randy Stone has either written, drawn, inked, or lettered
various comics, including projects with Scout Comics and Arcana.
Through Altruist Comics, Randy has published Bullet,
The Sensational Swan, the Crime Pays anthology, and
his collection of shorts Death & Comics.

While macaroni and cheese itself
is slightly retro they have given it a modern twist with menu
offerings such as Slumdog Millionaire that includes curry paste
and peas and The Green Mile that is topped with freshly cooked
broccoli florets and crispy onions.
They serve up inspired
comfort food made from scratch right on the truck. They start with
real butter, add whole milk, select spices and seven different
